I feel like this communith is mostly suited for asking questions about things you feel like you ought to know, because everybody seems to know it naturally.
It can range from "How do I properly clean my foreskin?" to "what is ffmpeg and why is everybody using it?", but not "Who's the current president of Turkey?" nor "How do I calculate the circumference of a sphere?"
It's noy questions that can be answered by a "simple google search", but questions that might be answered by a single google search, but only if you know what to search for.
can range from “How do I properly clean my foreskin?” to “what is ffmpeg and why is everybody using it?”, but not “Who’s the current president of Turkey?” nor “How do I calculate the circumference of a sphere?”
I am impressed that you have four closely related questions right off the top of your head!
I think you're supposed to ask questions here that people elsewhere might think are stupid questions. The idea is that in this community, there are no stupid questions.
It means that no question will be considered stupid and your intelligence/experise will not be judged. So feel free to as any question as long as you're sincere and serious.
Yes, you should ask both stupid and non-stupid questions here. Only thing, it has to be a honest question and abide by the rules... No trolling, flaming or baiting.
are all questions asked here stupid questions? Or is that all questions asked here are about stupid things? Or is it perhaps that no questions are stupid, and we are just asking questions to gain knowledge?
Questions, questions, questions. Who has the answer?
It is to be interpreted as "no questions here will be considered stupid".
Sure, there are exceptions, but most good-faith questions are OK, especially if it's something that you feel you should already know, or something you sim0ly fail to understand.
