Weekly “What are you playing” Thread || Week of April 14th

Whatcha all been playing! I got the itch for outer wilds again, which I can't really play anymore (😭)

So I decided to start a game I've wanted to play for a while that I thought could scratch a similar itch: ghost trick phantom detective. It's really good!

  • Flipwitch: Forbidden Sex Hex :D

Very horny and actually pretty decent metroidvania, lots of jiggly titties

  • Huh, I was staring at outerwilds today thinking I should play again, but then immediately thought I'll have to go here there here and realised it's forever ruined for me.

So instead I've been playing stellaris.

  • Still on Dragon's Dogma 2. (at 94 hours of playtime)

I'm still finding new places around every corner. It's got a ton of fun stuff to discover if you like open-world games.

  • Managed to get all the campaign achievements for Ghostwire: Tokyo, including a really, really stupid RNG one. There's an extra mode called The Spider's Thread, but I don't think I'm going to focus on that anytime soon. I need a break from Tokyo lol.

I wanted something that wasn't very combat heavy next and picked Kona. For the most part it felt like Kholat meets The Painscreek Killings - a fun little detective walking sim that just lets you loose without really telling you where to go or what to do, all while taking place during a blizzard. I liked wandering around and trying to figure things out myself, and the narrator didn't seem too overbearing. I had a good time, up until the ending. It felt rushed and just kind of... happened. Like one moment you're going along in the forest looking for stuff, and then all of the sudden, here's an explaination for everything in a short scene! Now literally run to the end! Bye! I was hoping for something a little more drawn out.

I'm not really into soulslike games, but since Lies of P was on GamePass, I thought I might as well try it out. I'm actually having a good time playing it. I'm usually not great at soulslike since they can be frustrating, and I'm not a fan of "die in order to learn", but I'm making progress and the story is kind of interesting. I really like the atmosphere, very steampunk vibes. Some of the characters could have had a little more effort put into them, but that's a minor complaint overall.

  • Recently started Rise of the Tomb Raider, still at the main menu adjusting settings. My PC is a little crap so I gotta take a hit in performance and graphics

    Specs: R5 430 Core i3-2120 10gb RAM

  • Oxygen Not Included. I really like this game eventhough I'll probably never beat it.

  • Immortals Fenyx Rising.

Feels a lot like Ubisoft still don't understand the appeal of BotW vs their usual icon vomit on a map, but the gameplay and traversal are decent.

  • Clocked in around 45 hours in Cyberpunk 2077 and I think I might reach an ending in another 5 hours. I had good expectations for this game and this game is just way higher than my expectations.

Love the world building, the lore they are trying to build on side, references to Cyberpunk Edgerunners sometimes.

  • Mainly playing Rimworld, FF7 Rebirth, and a little bit of the Ace Attorney Apollo Justice Trilogy. Also finished the visual Coffee Talk last night.
