Killed Gaping Dragon, proceeded to lose all souls in Blighttown

So after my previous post asking for guidance on where to go, I headed down to the depths. Got pretty good at clearing it and learning the general layout, so I thought I was the sh*t. Then killed the Gaping Dragon first try, which didn't help my ego. I didn't think of getting back to the bonfire before proceeding to Blighttown in my excitement. Long story short, before getting to the first Blighttown bonfire on one of my runs I got cursed and then proceeded to lose all 38k or so of my souls in Blighttown '_'

Sad part is I have the ring that breaks on use but you keep your stuff, I just didn't equip it.

I'll know for next time I guess :)
