That message irritated me so much. "We endeavor to deliver the lowest amount of ads to our customers, fewer than our competitors!" Like you were doing with no ads?

Right? 0. Zero is the lowest amount of ads. You were already doing that. What they actually mean is "we endeavor to deliver the maximum number of ads that won't drive you off our platform to our competitors".

Shame, I do think Prime has the best non Trek sci fi collection of all the streamers and I enjoy the convenience but I cannot abide ads and refuse to do anything that would help make the ad transition successful.

Just cancelled mine. Fuck em. I'll get prime again if there is some deal, or game I want from Amazon prime games or something.

About twice a year I get a free month. Just need to periodically peak at the cart to see if they're offering it yet.

We’re gonna cancel ours when it comes up for renewal in March. Declining value/use to us, needing to tighten our belt financially, and now the ads, we’re done. Just more evidence to me that C-suite level execs are incompetent sociopaths.
