Is there a way to get SteamLink on Quest without signing into Meta or using their shitty app?
I mean you can't stream from a PC at all without signing into a meta account I'm pretty sure, so it's not like it changes anything.

Yes that's my concern but I was hoping someone would have hacked it by now just enough to make it functional for SteamVR without Meta services.
Or ideally a whole different OS.

You need to sign into meta yes, which sucks, but it might be possible to keep the headset offline. It would mean no steam link but sideloading (and thus piracy) is easy as hell on quest.

Okay but I've run into a lot of electronics that won't let you do absolutely anything without creating an account first. Is that not the case here?
