[Feature suggestion] Option to list all the communities of an instance
As I wrote in the title, I'd love to have the option to scroll through the list of communities of an instance.
Maybe could you add that option in the post menu?
If I see a post of a community, I'd like to quickly know more about that instance.
Thank you for your hard work btw
Yeah, I've been wanting this as well. You may want to post this on the issue tracker, though, so that the request won't get lost in the feed.
6 0 ReplyArgh, I've never done that on GitHub nor I have an account there. Is there a good soul that could do it?
3 0 ReplyI can do it later today if nobody else gets to it first.

I would absolutely love this. It was the first thing I wrote looking for.
6 0 ReplyThis is one of the few things Lemmy in a browser still does better than any app(that I'm aware of). Would be a great addition.
4 0 ReplyConnect has that option and it's super useful to discover new communities
6 0 ReplyWait, I've been using Connect and I had no idea! Where do you find this feature?
EDIT: Found it! In the top-right ellipsis menu there is "View Instance", which has a button to show all communities there. That's a very neat feature that I wish was much more visible, to be honest.

This would be great
3 0 ReplyI agree, it would be great to have the feature.
The web version of Lemmy has it so I suppose it should not be too complicated to fetch them.
2 0 ReplyYes, this is required. This aids in the discovery of communities that the user may not have considered joining. Or they were aware of the idea but lacked a keyword to locate the community.
~~An even bigger thing would be something like https://lemmyverse.net/communities ... though that is a big ask ... ~~
