I've always wondered what pets thought of kisses. "Oh God they're tasting me!!! Oh whew I guess I'm not ready to be consumed"
- I often think the same when my cats lick me.
  
  I'm 99% sure that exchange is a real concern. Opportunistic little bastards.
Be honest, you would also feel awkward being picked up and kissed by a weird smelling giant multiple times a day

Don’t minimize that concern! One of my cats loathes being kissed, but has no problem trying to lick my nose off my face.

oh to be a tiny cat whose biggest concern is the looming threat of being gently picked up and kissed on the head.
my cats be like "oh no not a kiss ewww!" but also start purring when i smooch their little snoots
IF there is an all-seeing entity that oversees humans, then we are probably their tiny cats
