I'll note that the current text of the bill doesn't just get rid of tax credits; it actively imposes taxes on wind and solar to negate their cost advantage over fossil fuels.
Fucking slobs going to get us killed.
The economics are in. Fossil Fuels are more expensive than solar/wind now. Even ignoring the insane future externalized costs of putting more CO2 in the air, it is more expensive to maintain coal plants than it is to replace it with solar/wind.
This is corruption of our politics by fossil fuel industry.
These bastards need to get out of the fucking way. They are sticking our future kids with massive bills to make us pay more than market price for all sorts of equipment.
