Did you you notice the second "you" in the title of this post? How do you feel about (not) noticing it?

I felt efficient.
Language parsing engine working as intended.
Exactly, this is what our brains are supposed to do.
At uni, a teacher of mine once wrote on the blackboard:
Paris in the the spring
and then had a bunch of people read it out loud. I didn't get to read it out but the entire time this was going on I was sitting there, questioning my sanity because none of the people chosen to read seemed to notice the second "the".
That said, I've had a few glasses so fuck you.
I love this. Between the people who didn't notice it the same way I absolutely would not have, and the people who just say what obviously was intended, this could go forever and drive a couple of people absolutely insane.
I feel like a well oiled reading machine.
I did not until pointed out.
I did see the Invisible Gorilla when the teacher showed us right away somehow. That is to say, I'm long familiar with this detail of how our brains work :)
I actually try to watch for those at line wraps, but
but this one got me.
I can’t believe you’ve done this.
I can’t believe you've you’ve done this.
Ha! Completely missed it.
I can't can't believe you've done this this.
No, and it happens all the time for me. I sometimes hallucinate words inside the text and change the meaning completely.
My sources indicate that, as a natural intelligence, I can recommend feeling awesome.
It's additionally funny because the title on the webpage doesn't pick up the 2nd "the".
Missed it.
I got tripped up around "the second" and had to backtrack so either I subconciously read ahead or I noticed the fault. Either way, heck you buddy.
Fine, actually. As non native english speaker is a win win to me.
I don't really read so much as skim, skipping the filler words. So, what I read is "Did you notice second title post?"
I'm don't recommend reading this way because I miss important details frequently.
Stupid clickbait like this pisses me off so much I'm blocking you
Nothing in particular. Just yet another example of the brain's biological self-correcting algorithms.
