A bargaining chip for China considering that Trump wants to make a deal. It's on brand too because he caused the problem to begin with.
China should not trust the united snakes
- China is right to be skeptical of the US. But this might be a case where they're somewhat aligned. Beijing probably would rather Iran not have nukes since that would make them a much more powerful player in the region. And China is very energy dependent on oil imports. If the straight is closed, that would greatly impact Chinese industry.

China is in bed with Iran and Russia with regards to BRICS. I find it very unlikely China is going to do anything to get in between Israel and Iran, and even if they do, its clear to me which side they'll choose.
