- But only after leveling your Pikachu to lvl 80 to learn volt tackle
  
  In which gen does that happen? I only remember getting that move by breeding or a move vendor depending on the gen
- I beat the entire elite 4 with basically just Raichu, what a badass.
  
  So did I. The older brother of a friend gave me a lvl 100 raichu for this weird blue ponyta I had. How kind of him to make that trade with a clueless 10 year old

At this point if Pokemon didn't have a policy against permanently discontinuing Pokemon, Raichu and Jynx would have been out the door ages ago.
Mr. Mime and Porygon wouldn't be safe either, and I say this as a fan of Raichu, Jynx, and Porygon (Sorry Mr. Mime... I love Mr. Rime though..)
