Just days ago didn't he lament how terrible autism is, how destructive it is to whole families? Now he wants to take support away from those families? Being wrong is one thing, this is self contradictory nonsense.

Nope, this fits right in. We're all useless and don't contribute a thing, thus we simply shouldn't be taking up resources. At all. From anyone.
I'm sure you can fill the blanks in, but I'll put it this way: the only resources they want "autistic" people (because you can really stretch that definition to include pretty much anyone if you stretch the definition of things like social norms) to receive is a single 5.56mm round.
