I know there is a lot of hate towards jobs lately, and with good reason. A lot of employers are shit. That said, I had one job that absolutely changed my life. It was staffed with knowledgeable people, it allowed me to grow professionally, it treated me like an adult and an expert in my field, and the CEO gave me some the best career advice I have ever received. I loved going to work.
- Past tense? Did something happen?
  
  The company's tech was ahead of its time so most clients were reluctant to try it. Eventually it went under.
  I was spoiled by the experience. The place I worked for afterwards was soul sucking (as most places are), so I quit and started my own firm. I haven't looked back since.
