When will FWA run out of steam

It’s interesting that cable internet providers haven’t lowered rates in markets where 5g internet is available. I’m guessing they are thinking 5g will get saturated. But carriers like t-mobile have been buying up fiber. All they have to do is hook up more 5g nodes (not towers) throughout their markets, no?
