You know Bob, Sue, and Greg? They came! In my house!
I... met her in a club... down in old Soho...
Where you drink... champagne... and it tastes... just like... Coca-Cola...
Edit: I've always thought of it as Shattner's ellipses lol
Packed my bags...last night preflight.
Zero hour......nine am.
And I'm gonna be...HIGH...as a kite...by then.
I really liked that album, though.
Now I have weird al's yoda stuck in my head
you need a larger panel with more space to fill in the long pauses for the Shatner comma
I feel like with Walken it would be more like:
You know! Bob Sue and, Greg! They? Came to my house!?
Some of the Shatner Commas should be exclamation points.
Plan for when I'm taken hostage by terrorist group / state actor:
Youuuuu know, bob, sue, and Greg, they cammmmmme, to my house
The Peston comma
I don't give a fuck about an Oxford Comma
It gives a way to distinguish between "Sue, and Greg" (two independent people), and "Sue and Greg" (a couple).
I actually do like the Oxford Comma a lot, but there is a Vampire Weekend song like what I quoted above.
What about the Jerry Stiller comma?
