  • I ended up giving up on darktable for that side of things. I do my organising, keywording, rating etc in Digikam, and then use darktable just for editing.

    • interesting I was doing that originally but ended up staying in darktable most of my time now. the thing is I have digikam to use my photos and database off my home server so its been a little bit of a pain when on wifi or on a guest network because then digikam gets really slow. I recently just bought a large secondary drive for my laptop to keep my photos in sync there to let me use darktable while camping etc. maybe I need to setup an offline digikam for that as well
