Fluff piece that's pretty light on details, but it sounds like they're totally abandoning core science and math skills? That does not at all sound encouraging.

Ha take the ai tutor away and ask questions..bet the kids won't know anything it supposedly taught them.

At Alpha School in Austin, Texas, students are placed in the classroom for two hours a day with an AI assistant, using the rest of the day to focus on skills like public speaking, financial literacy, and teamwork.

Large educational improvements have been demonstrated in Africa with AI too. What seems to be happening is that benefits students gain from one-on-one tutoring, happen with AI which effectively functions as the same thing.
