- Worst shooting in US history was at a Las Vegas music festival. It is also one of the least talked-about and most under-reported on shootings in recent history. Big effort by Vegas marketing execs to purge the slaughter from the news channels and from popular conversation, so people won't be afraid to spend their money in Casino Town.
  Can't help but think the fixation on school shootings and the obliviousness towards church shootings, church burnings, and similar violence has similar roots. You want people to be terrified of their schools and more amicable towards home-schooling. But you don't want people skipping out on concerts or failing to attend mass.
