An overwhelming majority of Republican Senators voted against Democratic amendments concerned with tax breaks for the wealthy.
Clearly signaling who they actually represent.
Not that their supporters will notice though.
They know, they just don't care because they've been conditioned to believe that Democrats are out to ruin everything they've worked for through "tax & spend" policies, so "owning the libs" is far more important to them. The complexities of our tax laws work out in Republicans favor because most people don't even want to try to understand how taxing the rich won't hurt them.
A lot of their supporters seem to be "keep the government out of medicare" tier thinkers.
I didn't say repeal the ACA, I said repeal Obamacare!!?!
It's okay. Yes, the megarich will become even richer, but it's worth the sacrifice because the price of eggs will come down eventually.
