- At least it’s a step, maybe we can get them off Meta next and we would be really shifting gears.
- I think it's specifically because of Musk's recent comments regarding Canada. Pretty easy and painless win change for the Court as I don't imagine their social media presence is too important for them.

  I thought I couldn't have been more glad to have deleted my Twitter, but here we are.

It's a website that literally endorses and promotes Nazis and Nazi rhetoric. There's no way around that. The fact that the head Nazi wants to invade the country is just the cherry on top of the shit sandwich. At a certain point, which was probably a year ago, if you're still using the website you're just endorsing and normalizing Nazi Behavior. Nobody should be on that website ever.
- I dunno, I'd say the fact that they wanna invade our country is a pretty big chit sandwich.

In the interest of continuity, and to also try driving traffic away from twitter, I would recommend multi-posting...
But have the twitter one cut off and end with a link to the replacement site. Using their final tweet as an example:

- I've got a copypasta for recommending Mastodon to Canadians looking to get more reliable news. I include some suggested starting follows for Canadian news sources and information. I'd love to add some official government Mastodon accounts to that list.
  In fact, any other suggestions, I can try and improve it. I want to keep it pretty streamlined, Federated services are already kind of complicated and impose a bit of a learning curve. I focused on just Canadian hosted general interest Mastodon instances, with a good list of Canadian news sources. I leave the discover of Lemmy.ca and Pixelfed.ca for later exploration.

  Consider making an account on a Canadian Mastodon instance, Mstdn.ca, TheCanadian.Social, CoSocial.ca or SocialBC.ca.
  There's not so much of an algorithm to entertain you, so you'll need to do some work following, but check out Fedi.Directory, Interesting Accounts to Follow on Mastodon and the Fediverse and Fedi.Tips- An Unofficial Guide to Mastodon and the Fediverse. It's not all-or-nothing though. I would suggest setting up an account on a Canadian instance, supporting that Canadian instance, and then installing one of the many mobile apps for the Fediverse.
  For some Canadian themed news sources, I recommend the following Mastodon follows:

  Meanwhile In Canada

Can someone help me understand why a court would need a social media presence
- Public communication? I’m sure they issue public statements at times.
  
  Likely this, and the occasional case of responding to news articles involving them.
- How else can they show off in their sexy, sexy robes?

- Because we live in the bad timeline where people make social media accounts for something that could be an RSS feed.
- The only thing I could see useful would be if it conveyed things like : "due to water main break all sessions are cancelled." But "hey, made 30 felons go to prison this week!" Is not helpful
- I've never looked at theirs, but I know it's not uncommon for large entities to have handles on big sites just to reserve the real estate so imposters/scammers/bad actors don't move in and take those names.

Name a better social media alternative where people can bash the vaccine cultists?
