Can we please limit these stand up quote posts? Perhaps post them under a different stand up community? This community has been flooded with these lately and it's really annoying. The same bullshit was responsible for ruining a lot of Reddit subreddits. Please don't ruin the communities here on Lemmy.

Not really. You can by bi or pan and monogamous. If your heart decided your person was another man, it doesn't make you stop being bi or pan.

Alternatively: they're both straight, one is a stepdad, but both feel obligations to their kid.

You're overanalyzing it. The joke assumes gay or straight, obviously it breaks down if you start thinking about it but so do most jokes
