  • It blows my mind how the socdems in my city managed to put forward one of their old politicians who used to be mayor. He has been convicted of fraud and embezzlement when he was the CEO of a football club, among other things. He was facing multiple years in jail but managed to buy off his sentence. Highly corrupt individual.

But apparently socdems have no problem with that.

  • There are virtually no public bathrooms anywhere here but I do have a subscription to some shitty chain brand gym and I can use that as a public restroom in any city. Dumb as fuck.

    • you could use any statue of Leopold II, I don't see what other purpose they would serve

      • I read somewhere once that the only reason the USA has a culture of having free to use bathrooms in businesses is because people would just go wherever otherwise back in the day. Like oh i cant use your bathroom? Cool lemme take a leak on your door step then.

  • yesterday i talked about north korea with my laoshi, laoshi asked me if i liked the dprk and i said "yeah why not", then asked me if i liked south korea and i said "not much", laoshi laughed a bit then mentioned that young cnetizens despise south korea and constantly fight with them online lol. china is in good hands.

also another funny tidbit is that in dongbei, the province north of korea historically known as manchuria, the people are very hostile to japanese brands and people lol.

  • I've been trying to get in touch with my father. I haven't seen him since I was very young, about 7 or 8 years old. I think I found an old Facebook account of his. It's not active, but I've been reaching out to some connections. Only a couple have responded and I gave one of them my phone number.

I think he might be trying to call me, but I pretty much never answer my phone. It's always on vibrate and I usually only receive spam calls anyway. I hesitated the first time. I picked up the second, but no one replied. I probably should have stayed on the line longer, but I panicked a bit. I finally got the courage to call the number back today, but it went directly to voicemail, which isn't activated.

Maybe it's spam. It's a local number, but it could be spoofed. What an archaic and frustrating way to contact people.

    • Sounds like a scary situation, can't even imagine what that's like. Wishing you strength comrade, you got this🤗🥰

      • It's been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride, but it does feel good to be making progress. Thank you for the support comrade 🫡🤗🥰

    • What an archaic and frustrating way to contact people.

lol i find it weirdly romantic, good luck anyways hope you can make amends with him.

      • I'm not so much against phone calls, although they do make me anxious, but the fact that someone can contact me without providing any form of identification is a bit absurd.

  • Sometimes I am reminded of the phase in my life in which the Uyghur genocide bullshit was making rounds in the news and I went like: 'I'm going to never buy Chinese products again!' which I actually followed up on. I find it amusing to think about how I turned out eventually lol. But at least I actually wanted to do something against it back then, I guess.

  • I've seen since last year that Mil-Tec backpacks are in fashion for some weird reason. And they all have a black and white US flag, or a camo-colored one. It's very strange since we're in Europe. It gives massive bootlicker vibes, but I guess the upside is it gets easier to spot them lmao

  • Palestine protests are in the news again, even though the dems swore up and down that they stopped, and now the MAGAs are salivating at the idea of Trump having them all arrested, murdered, and deported to Gaza. In that order.

  • Exactly five years ago covid hit my country. I cannot accept it has been five years already lol. It's like I'm still sort of waiting for life to get back to normal despite no Covid restrictions being in place for a few years now.

In 2019 I started to break free from some bad habits and I felt like the future was looking bright for me. Going into 2020 I was excited about what might come. And then covid hit and it changed me from a pretty happy and goofy person into someone kinda bitter and anxious. It's probably not solely covid's fault but still. And then when it was 'over', Ukraine and its financial consequences for Europe hit.

  • I'm almost at the point where I want to swap all the sites and apps I use for Chinese alternatives. I need some of them, so I won't fully commit to it, but wouldn't it be nice?

To your last message to me:

I too was abused as a child. Prazosin,eh? I hear there are meds for C-PTSD, though I'm sure it doesn't entirely go away. I might need them soon enough.

And I believe you, trust me.

I refer to Canada at this point as Kkklanada, ugh

I'm doing good, btw! But feel mighty guilty about something and I'm trying to push through to my next therapy session. I need to stop beating myself up but I feel royally guilty.

  • Ugh, I feel guilty about something, but my therapy session is soon.

    Glad that it's today.

I need to shape up a bit.

Sorry if I caused anyone here any grief, which I know I did at times.

    You're all great.

  • "Phraseology" is a really cool sounding word that will immediately identify any communist saying it when used disparagingly.
