are groceries cheaper now?
Not yet, but I'm happy govt workers who sat around and got paid good money to nothing are getting what they deserve. Biden wasn't making cheaper groceries.
Maybe you all should have talked about that instead of just making fun of republicans all day.
Seems you still haven't learned your lesson either. Good luck on the next election unless you wise up.
so, no, groceries arent cheaper.
Whats happening with eggs right now?
How do you know they weren't doing anything?
I'm all for cuts in the government, but I have zero evidence that the cuts Trump is making are beneficial to the country. If he wants to balance the budget, cutting a few hundred here and there won't cut it, we need to either raise taxes or cut entitlements, probably both.
Trump, here's a plan that should work:
1&2 fixes SS shortfalls, 3 cuts much of the rest of the deficit, 4 cuts unnecessary programs (and jobs), and 5 creates real wealth by creating a path out of wage slavery. We'll end up with something like UBI, less federal programs, etc.
But the cuts I've seen look like loyalty purges. I think we should make a lot of cuts, but I don't really trust Trump or Musk to make them.
Was biden's campaign promise to make groceries cheaper day 1? Because that was Trump's promise.
Fema was dead in the water anyways, no one trusts them after Katrina. It should be shut down, and responsibilities be moved elsewhere.
Why start with FEMA? The problem doesn't seem to stem from them, but Bush. He didn't sign a bill to send aid until 3 days after landfall, probably because of partisan politics (governor of Louisiana was Democrat).
That's always going to be an issue with any federal program. What we should have IMO is a much smaller federal military, larger National Guard, and legal obligations for each state to aid the others with their national guard when one declares an emergency.
So yes, move it elsewhere, but not under the President's purview.
Where? Is there already a plan for replacing fema or are we just killing it off with nothing to replace it at all and everyone is just out of luck during the next emergency? Is this what he meant by "we have concepts of a plan"?
The various National and state guard usually come in to help in natural disasters. They could take over femas role.
Agreed!
