Laserblast (1978)
BILLY WAS A KID WHO GOT PUSHED AROUND... THEN HE FOUND THE POWER.
A happy go-lucky teenager stumbles upon an extraterrestrial weapon, which transforms him into a grotesque killer. He becomes the target of a pair of aliens who recently executed the weapon's previous owner.
One of the highly regarded classic Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes but not one of my favorites to quote. I did like the gag about other movies Leonard Maltin rated as high or lower than Laserblast. "F. Murray Abraham's tortured performance as Salieri in Amadeus? According to Leonard Maltin, just as good as Laserblast!"
Blade Runner, Memento, and The Thing? All worse movies than Laserblast according to Leonard Maltin.
Good god, that poster looks like it lifted art from five different movies.

EDIT: Aw yeah! It's got a supporting role by Eddie Deezen (famed for playing "nerd" characters in Grease and WarGames, as well as for doing various voice acting.)

Edit 2: watched the first link above. Overall, a pretty good movie, and an excellent b-movie.
According to Leonard Maltin this movie is just as good as A Fish Called Wanda
It's true! Not nearly as much stuttering/sexy accents though..
I prefer the babe with the power...
