In one of his first moves after taking over from his father Rupert, Lachlan Murdoch backed the appointment of Tony Abbott to the media giant's board.

Lachlan is asserting his authority and trying to break with his father’s legacy by appointing Tony “onions” Abbot to the board to try and drag it to the left and closer to the center.
Sorry but appointing the former leader of the Aus right wing political party will move the board to the left?
