Bonjourr is a browser startpage extension that combines beautiful high-quality photographs with useful widgets, making your new tabs both stylish and functional. If you've ever heard of Tabliss or Momentum, then you know the idea.

AI forcefeeding has conditioned me to instinctively disregard anything with this symbol lol.
Somehow I ended up reading the description anyway. Seems cool, though it immediately greeted me with a bad translation.
- I'll admit, me too, but I still like it and don't want to let the big corpos take it from us haha

  I feel like it might be too entrenched already. I'll watch the video, haven't seen it.
  I was just thinking of how to explain this the best. In Finnish, you can't say "It is this or that (in here)" when talking about weather or anything else. This type of use of the word "it" just doesn't exist in the language.
  Edit: Also, language names are not capitalized in Finnish.

I’ve been using this with Firefox for a bit. I very much enjoy it. Took me a while to find something I liked for a new tab page since you can search in the URL bar it always felt redundant having a search engine specific page there.
- Yeah. We got a search bar feature because some people love it and are very used to it, but I've never really seen the point either. Glad you enjoy the extension 🔥

Doesn’t Apple already call their zeroconf networking “Bonjour”? Is a single extra “r” going to keep their lawyers away?
- Bonjourr's been available on the App Store for years, so they know about us and it doesn't seem to be an issue.
  Apart from the fact that they're both software, they don't have much in common. And they can't own the way you say hi in french 😅

- They’ll be fine. I don’t think Apple can trademark something as common as “Hello” in French, and it looks like this project is based in France.
  It also poses zero threat to Apple, since this doesn’t compete with any of their products or services.
