Cyberpunk 2077 2.21 patch adds DLSS 4 support days before RTX 50 series debut
Cyberpunk 2077 devs get the game ready for DLSS 4 when the technology drops with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 on January 30th.
Gotta give CDPR credit, they've consistently patched the game after what is arguably the most disappointing launch in gaming history.
Most other devs would have seen the ROI and pulled the plug less than a year after launch.
Phantom Liberty was amazing, it seems like half of the content was in different endings alone.
The perk overhaul was amazing too, it really encourages a dynamic play style, as opposed to the prior perk system which essentially forced you to dump 20 points into Cold Blood, and choose one main attribute tree.
Though, the new system essentially forces 20 points into tech, which is fine because your cyberware is the basis for every build.
Though, every character should get Reflexes to 15 because air-dash changes the game into Spider-Punk.

-WoW expansion Warlords of Draenor
-No Man's Sky
CP2077 made a decent come back, just like NMS, but it was hardly the most disappointing. It wasn't even the most over hyped and underperforming from the far from exhaustive list I compiled from the top of my head.
I suppose it depends on your exposure to media. The first I heard of Concord was how much of a flop it was.
I played Warlords of Draenor, and prior expansions, and I don't remember any controversy.
No Man's Sky was a huge story, but coming from a studio who made Joe Danger, I don't know that any expectations were justified, whereas The Witcher 3 was supposed to be proof that CDPR would stick the landing.
using a 3090, switched dlss to use the new transformer -model and it's GREAT. Basically all smeared surfaces while moving are gone, wet pavement stays crisp while waking the rainy streets...
Kinda feels like the image quality which previously was "DLSS Quality" can be achieved with "DLSS Performance" now, just with higher framerate.
For laughs I tried the dlss -files with other games (The Ascent, PGA TOUR 2K23), and overall the visuals appear more detailed with less artifacting when using DLSS. Apparently the results could be even better if I tinkered a bit with nvinspector and enforced the "J" profile for dlss for the games, too.
Is the update only for DLSS or does it include improv raytracing? I don't use DLSS, it's always disabled in every game, but I like raytracing on psycho, even though it makes GPUs start crying, I enjoy the graphics.
