This happened IRL with my friends when somebody decided to get the shittiest bum wine he could find to pass around the circle. We all did exactly this. Every single one of us. Ahh, those were the days.

It's been a couple years, but I can remember it. Tasted awful. But not so awful that you thought you might die? Just generally unpleasant, and lingers on the tongue.
It's unpleasant enough to not enjoy, but not so unpleasant that I'm saying, "Don't do it!" Satisfying curiosity is a good motive. I don't regret it.

I don't know if it's the same chemical, but when I was little my mom coated the eraser on my pencils because I would chew on them. Pretty sure it didn't work then either, but I can still recall the taste.
Just tasted Zelda. Same taste I remembered.
