Very unclear what this actually means. Google Messages already does e2ee for one on one and group chats. Is this a different type of encryption? Are there implications for e2ee for all RCS chats including with iPhone users? Article doesn't say
A value of 0 indicates that the default encryption is being used for RCS, while 1 indicates that MLS is being used.
From that, I understand that a different encryption protocol will be used. Something that can be used across other apps.
