Dumb question, why would anyone put electrical outlets in the ceiling?
- hanging a light fixture above a kitchen island is pretty common, you can just drill some hooks into the stud.
  
  Please don't drill hooks into me.
  
  We also hang lights from the ceiling in Europe. But we wire them directly instead of with a socket and plug.
- My garage has one for the door opener

Add a model rocket and call it a missiletoaster.
