My kit arrived way early so I was worried they'd be a little dull and stale by today, but I needn't have worried. They all had plenty of clarity and character, and the decafs were basically all the best decaf I've tasted. Overall I liked the non-decaf one the best, but it was surprising how little difference there was in quality.
The roasters nearest to me were all out by the time I watched the announcement video, so I won’t be joining in. I think it’s a neat idea though, and I hope everybody has a great time.
I'm pretty sure I could pick Swiss water process out from a blind taste. The aftertaste it leaves is quite distinctive for me. Maybe because I've had many? 🤷♂️
The rest was really interesting because I've never had another decaf process. Only one of the two kits I ordered arrived in time, so it'll be interesting to taste how they differ. From this first kit, the sugar cane was head and shoulders above everything else, including the cafinated!
I got busy with other things and forgot to order.🤷🏼♂️ Watching the video right now, just out of curiosity. I'm just happy to see decaf being taken seriously. I often would love a cup of coffee after dinner without spoiling my night's sleep.
