Is there anywhere I can catch up on the lore of the first 20 games? I don't want to go into this one and not understand any of the plot.
You can skip 1-4. BS5 is a relatively short game but features a lot of flashbacks of the first four. The problem with the flashbacks is that they happen while you're driving so hit the brake ASAP or you're going to hit a lot of pedestrians.
The next few are a slow descent into substance abuse.
BS10-12 cover hitting rock bottom and rehab.
Pretty vanilla after that
