Oof.
Fencing response. Fucking hell man. That dude should be thrown out for the season.
Removed from the sport and tried for assault at a minimum.
Itβs no doubt a bad hit. Lawrence is sliding. I want to believe that players arenβt out there trying to hurt other players.
I agree. I like Azeez Al-Shaair but that hit was bad.
The problem with this is that βfake slidesβ are a thing. Mahomes and Josh Allen are NOTORIOUS for it. So defenders are torn with giving up extra yards or a bad hit.
This was a bad hit.
QBs need to be aggressively penalized for fake slides and defenders will trust the slide more, hopefully stopping this kind of hit.
Al-Shaair was rightfully ejected, but the underlying issue still exists.
This was a bad hit.
Dirty hit but thanks for the threads link. I was never going to join, but my god what a cesspool
I can't tell what everyone is calling a dirty hit here.. the number 17 hitting the guy after the play stop is the worst thing i see
You know he's responding to a dude knocking his QB out with a headshot after the play was over, right?
Getting pushed is automatic.
No I'm not being a duck, ive watched it dozens of times, the hit on the guy sliding didn't look dirty to me, but i wasnt able to pause to see the exact point of contact.
Dirty hit is not the same as a hit that goes badly, it implies intent to cause harm, Claude Lemieux taking out peoples knees are dirty hits, diving to tackle someone isnt a dirty hit even if it goes badly.
What happened to the guy in white after was a sucker punch though and is the very definition of a dirty hit. Regardless of why he did it doesnt change that it was clearly a sucker punch
If the initial tackle was dirty, what should i be looking for? Ill go watch it a dozen more times if you help point out what to look for
