Nintendo confirms Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with Switch games

There's good news if you've got a huge Switch library, as the Nintendo Switch 2 will officially be backwards compatible with old games.

I suspect the new Switch will be a similar enough architecture that it won't require emulation. This would explain why they went after Yuzu and Ryujinx, since they likely would be able to emulate Switch 2 games once the encryption is cracked.
