I recently ran into an issue with this DMA protection, as Vanguard started blocking my network card every time I loaded into a Valorant game. Riot has a list of hardware and firmware that is trusted, but the network card on my motherboard was using a method that looked suspicious.

Turns out the secret was spying on everyone all the time and making cheaters buy a whole new computer.
Because god forbid we design games in a way that we can tell just by watching them... or make the obvious trivial hacks irrelevant.
