I thought it was meant to make it look like they're holding a microphone in the style of a reporter or newscaster. Like as a design choice.
It is. Its fashionable for people to hold their mics lately. Didnt watch the video, but its probably just hating on "the kids these days"
I love strong towns but they're horrible with this, just please either clip it on, or get a handheld mic
