Is this available in the US? I see it on eBay but it’s the Chinese model. I’m assuming I could buy that and be fine right?

The chinese version would lack Google Play services. Your standard android apps could break. Sideloading play services could be an option. But, I'm not sure if it is seamless and without quirks here.
Being a chinese ROM english translations could also be rough. Research more and make your choice. If the things I mentioned do not matter much. You should be fine.
