Why?
sun, cool air, beer. why not?
Sun is that important.
Probably quite warm. Snow is a good insulator because it traps a lot of air. And any breeze will go straight over the top.
I wouldn't at all be surprised if people do this in my country. We crave sunshine here during winter. It's a good anti-depressant
