There should be another lemmings like me out there who already annoyed their couple by talking about how awesome Lemmy and the Fediverse is.

Bad for her because I will keep talking about it though.

Mine just thinks it’s a continuation of the same thing they haven’t really been listening to for the past 30 years.

My partner is also a lemming! Problem solved :)
- She only followed movies/TV shows and skincare communities on Reddit, until they pick up here I will have another talk about Fediverse with here (or maybe before that).
I keep trying to get my husband to stop checking Reddit and sign up for an alternative and in the meantime I'm sending as many awesome posts from them as I can 😂
- I know he will reconsider sometime.
My husband finally joined reddit after me talking about it to him for years. Then like a week later i informed him that reddit sucks now and there's this new thing he should check out...

I'm the one that was annoyed 😂 but he didn't have a Reddit addiction like me so I'm the one that's here now instead of him

My other has been out of town, and wait until she sees what replaced the reddit doomscroll.

I just brought Lemmy up at the BBQ I went to last night. One person was interested! The rest looked at me like I had three heads though...
- Most of my mates don't even understand Reddit, I'm not going to waste my energy trying to explain Lemmy / the fediverse to them.
- A friend of mine think is a cult and I'm a voicer... She is cool with that though.
Yup, this is me. She will probably eventually migrate over once the things she's following are on here as well. It'll be a matter of time I'm sure.
Like with myself, she's learned to ignore unrecognized input as long as it sounds generally positive.
Yeah the interest my wife and friends have shown in lemmy when I bring it up is zero lol oh well.
Waiting for native apps to arrive and then I would recommend joining
