[Season 2x08] [potential spoiler] regarding the belter
Its my first run and I'm currently in the middle of Season 2 (episode 8: Pyre) so if the situation changes after that please don't spoiler me.

Am I wrong that I really don't like the Belter?
They are so unorganized and aggressive and only out for themselves.
After Fred Johnson acquired the 30 Nukes as a contingency to defend the Belt against Mars and Earth, why are the leaders of the belt so daft and actually want to use them against the inner planets? Then that stupid mutiny against him after they kidnapped the remaining doctor.
And then that atrocity after Ganymede, where the Freighter simply ejected people from the inner planets when they were told to move to a different freighter. That was truly gut-wrenching.
Also, I'm quite sad but also happy that Miller sacrificed himself in Eros and be with Julie Mao for their final journey to Venus.
Besides that I would say that I fell in love with the series, the setting, the people and everything.
Belters (and any other faction in The Expanse) aren't made to be universally good or bad. There's good and bad people everywhere, and it's up to us to decide who we like.
Also, Miller is a true gigachad and remains one of my favourite characters even after I finished the show and the books.
Unfortunately the show did have a pretty pro UN-bias in their view. You’re not wrong that there’s good and bad people, but damn the show did some factions dirtier than others. But I think trying to paint the other perspectives would have led to confusion in the show.
I really like the show but I have a love hate relationship with the belters, like you said they are just unorganized so you cant really treat them like a group really, also Camina Drummer is the best!! close tie with Amos
The books did a vastly better job of showing the diverging perspectives, one that really stuck out was the show really didn’t show how the belters viewed Basic Assistance, it was always seemingly a pro un viewpoint in the show, the belters were “the enemy”. I think that’s just the issue with medium and not wanting to confuse watchers maybe.
Each chapter of the book is from the persons personal perspective, it’s really different when you’re actually the character that’s talking.
Haven't met Camina Drummer yet. Just finished 2x12, where they escaped Ganymede. But I've heard good things about her.
Amos is fricking awesome. He is like a huge Teddy Bear or Brother.
And I have to say, the Showrunners really know how to deploy a potent Stinger. I was super happy that they escaped, even with the refugees. But then the final pan over the Rocinate and her gaping hole... God damn it!
