  • I like them, they're entertaining. The second one got a little convoluted, but I still enjoyed it. I also just like the character Benoit Blanc.

    I'll be looking forward to this new one.

  • First one was good, I thought the second one was a waste of time.

  • I’m just not sure I see the appeal… they mash in this weird campiness that makes it hard for me to enjoy it on a serious level, especially the second. I love a good mystery too, the old masterpiece theater productions of Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Ironsides were favorites. I also really enjoyed the new ones with Cumberbatch, so it’s not like I’m opposed to a modern reinterpretation.

  • Johnson clearly stumbled over himself when writing the script for the second one.

    I loved the first one though.

  • I saw the first one and wondered what all the fuss was about - I was expecting something clever and meta but it was not much more than a decently adapted Agatha Christie with a slightly distracting lead performance (looking at you too Sir Ken). I haven't got around to watching the second.
