Panasonic fluorescent lamp production to go dark in 2027

As of June, 60.3% of existing lighting in Japan were LEDs, according to the Japan Lighting Manufacturers Association. Fluorescents made up the majority of the other 40%.

That's crazy considering the size of Japan's economy and how long we've had cost effective LED lights.
