The problem is that the physical keyboard takes permanent real estate whereas the software keyboard can come and go, to allow for full screen applications.
I do miss innovative phones like the sidekick, LG chocolate, and other slider ones.
I make due with a Unihertz Titan Slim. Not the best, but with custom ROMs, a temporary relief. I will buy another one or two but after that, I have no idea what next. Hopefully, someone else with make limited edition niche devices.
What’s the target use case for this? It seems too small to be useful as a laptop replacement, and isn’t really mobile without cellular radios. About the only purpose I can see is replacing pagers that are still used in medical facilities.
It's pretty niche. I'd be interested in it as a device for messaging between folks who are out of mobile range - think farmers, hikers, mountain climbers, forestry workers, fire service, etc.
