‼️ GUR and MFA evacuated citizens of Ukraine from Lebanon

💪 On Saturday, August 3, 2024, in accordance with the instructions of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly organized the evacuation of thirty of our citizens from Lebanon, where the security situation has deteriorated sharply.

🤝 We express our gratitude to SkyUp Airlines, which provided the plane for the transportation of Ukrainians.

👥 Our compatriots, including 21 women and nine children, have already arrived in Rzeszów, Poland, and are safe. They were met by Ukrainian consuls and representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Ukraine - they provide the evacuees with all the necessary assistance and ensure their escort to our country.

🔥 Ukraine became one of the first in the world to successfully evacuate its citizens from Lebanon. As in previous cases of crises and armed conflicts abroad, Ukraine demonstrates leadership in caring for its people.

❗️ Ukrainian diplomats warned our citizens in Lebanon about the danger and recommended to leave the territory of the republic in advance.

🫡 Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continue to work on providing assistance to citizens of Ukraine who are in Lebanon. Work continues on the possibility of further evacuation of other Ukrainians who express a desire to leave Lebanese territory.

‼️ Citizens who wish to leave Lebanon in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should contact the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lebanon at phone number (+961) 5921668 or e-mail address: emb_lb@mfa.gov.ua.

✔️ Citizens of Ukraine who are in an emergency situation or face a threat to life and health should also contact these contacts.

📞 You can also contact the 24-hour "hotline" of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: +38-044-238-16-57 or the e-mail address cons_or@mfa.gov.ua .

❗️ Citizens who have made a personal decision to continue their stay in Lebanon are recommended to avoid places of mass gathering of people, not to participate in demonstrations, strictly observe security measures and rules for the stay of foreigners in the country, comply with the legal requirements of law enforcement agencies, monitor the notifications of local authorities about the development situations, do not leave your place of residence unless absolutely necessary, always carry identity documents with you, and also consider the possibility of shortening the period of your stay in the country.

👉 During their stay in Lebanon, citizens of Ukraine are also recommended to refrain from traveling to territories bordering the Syrian border; bordering the Israeli border south of the Litani River; to Nahr Al-Bared and Beddawi refugee camps (near Tripoli), Ain Al-Khilweh and Mieh Mieh (near Saida); Bekaa Valley; southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiye district).

❗️ Security of Ukrainian citizens is an absolute priority and key task of the state. This applies to citizens of Ukraine in any corner of the world, under any circumstances and at any distance from the Motherland. Ukraine never leaves its people in trouble.

🇺🇦 Glory to Ukraine!
