A cool Guide watering in Plant
Very nonspecific advice that feels like it will confuse more than help. There are a ton of additional factors that go into watering (drainage, mulch, plant species, ambient humidity, etc.). Even just the container type will change how much to water
Can we quantify these vague words? What is considered frequent and infrequent, light and heavy?
I have several big 50 liter plant pots with Ficus Benjamini and other subtropical plants that I water every 4-6 weeks with around 2 litres per pot. So far they survived like this for around 15 years.
But what about year 16? Just kidding .. great job!
This feels more like a shitpost than a guide
This really depends on the plant and soil combination. Water also doesn't stay on the surface with shallow watering, especially if you use appropriate soil.
I appreciate this post. It gives me an explanation for why what I've usually done tends to work with most of my plants.
