Tesla and Musk owe sooooo much of their success to huge federal and state level EV tax bonuses and rebates. The government essentially subsidized his company for decades. He decided to dump all that money into an ego boost instead of R&D, and let other manufacturers catch and even surpass Tesla in technology and features. He's done. Tesla is done.
