Russia's offense operations have been very disappointing for them (fortunately). So I hope Ukraine can take advantage of this lack of manpower in other areas and not overreact to this threat. But the Ukrainian commanders and tactitions have been very good so far, so I trust they'll do the best with the information and material they have.
But I thought Russia is winning on all fronts and timelines? New high tech Tank here, elite mercenaries there. Just a matter of days it has been said? What happun?
Seriously tho, fuck that government for sending these young men into their deaths.
I think Russia is doing well, militarily. Even on lemmygrad, there is still a lot of de facto support for Ukraine/US.
We should all remember that this is an inter imperialist conflict and par for the course that is capitalism. No matter what happens in this war, the working class loses.
That support for Ukraine must be localized to specific communities on lemmygrad, because all the discussion I've seen over there has been very pro-Russian, painting Ukraine and NATO as the warmongers.
It feels like the war has ground to a halt, where the only progress is in bodycount. Russia has failed to make meaningful advances lately, but Ukraine's successes on the counteroffensive have also been extremely quiet.
Information we receive is also asymmetric. We will get lots of articles about Russian troop movements, but reporters are wary to detail Ukrainian movements and plans (for obvious reasons). You also notice this in the opposite way as well, you will see all sorts of photos and information regarding Russian losses. But they tend to withhold specific information about Ukraine losses as to not give Russia more Intel.
Most people's argument is that Russia is probably already aware of that information, but the counter argument is better be safe than sorry. Especially when literal lives are on the line.
