I'd rather be able to set the time charging finishes independent of my first alarm in the morning, which is completely unrelated to when I need my phone to be fully charged. It's super annoying.
What is the use of that feature anyway? What's the benefit of charging it right before you wake and not when you put it to charge.
To me it's super convenient if I have to leave earlier than expected and I get to spend the day with dead battery even though it had all night to charge.
I've had this on my OnePlus Nord N200 running lineage OS and it's absolutely the best feature in my opinion. I can set my charge level to anything I wish, but I have chosen 81 just so that I can get a notification app to trigger once it hits that level, so I can unplug it and use it. I also have it notify me when the charge drops below 30% and plug it back in.
Why does this matter, I was of the belief the necessity to not 100% a charge and discharge was done away with with newer batteries similarly leaving a charged device plugged in does nothing but because it will power from mains until disconnected
