12 0 ReplyIn this case, it wasn't his testimony but his defense as to why he didn't violate his gag order for a second time. I'm not strictly sure if you can perjure yourself in your defense for such a situation, but either way it was the judge just not buying his excuse.

I want to know why we care about them at this point. They sent their best and brightest on Jan. 6. I remain unimpressed.

Perjury is only for statements made under oath in open court, and as noted below it's hard to prove that someone knew they where lying.
