Hilary isn't playing
Hilary isn't playing
Hilary isn't playing
Fuck off Hillary. Nobody asked you. You fumbled 2016 and gave us this asshole in the first place, and you should have the decency to hide in shame the rest of your miserable life.
She can express it, but she needs to be prepared to be reminded that she was uniquely able to lose to trump in 2016, and her stealing the nomination from Sanders is one major contribution to why we are here
There's a lot more reasons why we're here than Hilary Clinton. If you can't get over it we're going to keep backsliding, again, and again, if we ever even make it out alive
If the party is determined to keep making the same mistakes that they never addressed, they will continue losing. They seem fine with that.
Got damn, I didn't know that. I apologize and retract the part of my statement about Hilary, but do maintain we might not make it out of this alive
Not a one of us will make it out of here alive.
That's a fact of life in this realm we must eventually experience.
The same Wikileaks documents also show that Hillary and the DNC rigged the primary against Bernie (very briefly mentioned in the article).
My favorite is the Bernie folks filed a lawsuit against the DNC for unfair practices against Bernie, and the court threw it out because as a private group the DNC could do whatever they want.
This isn't what actually happened.
What happened was worse.
The DNC made the argument they didn't need to follow their own rules because they were a private organization.
To me that is far worse.
My favorite part is how the party still expects us to believe they run honest primaries after that.
"Every vote counts....[just not in our primaries]"
She made Trump her pied piper because he was the only one she had a shot against and then she failed. Trump is quite literally Hillary Clinton's fault. He would not have won 2016 if she hadn't narcissistically demanded that it was her turn to be president.
Oh please. The DNC is done. We need to move on.
I wish parties would just die and that we can use a better voting system, but we need a path to get there.
That path doesn't involve the DNC. Look at how they treated David Hogg, of all people.
Unless we have a left Tea Party. Just look at how successful the Tea Party was at forcibly taking over the RNC.
The tea party had a lot of astroturfing. Again we look at how Sanders, AOC, and Hogg are treated to see how the structural power of the part will be turned against those that push back even a bit on their insular geriatric views. I see value in what you're describing, I think I just see transforming the democratic party as more of a trap of energy than causing the needed change that people actually want.
A third party with our FPTP voting system will cause an inevitable spoiler effect, which will lead to Trump winning his inevitable third term run (if he even bothers with an electoral process and doesn't just instill himself as king).
"Yes she having cheated, but that cheating helped her win, and because she won, therefore she didn't cheat"
Is some dumb fucking logic
Hillary and DWS stole DNC money and funneled it all to her campaign, and then rigged the nom on top with the superdelegates. If you don’t consider that stolen, maybe it is you who should also consider “being serious.”
Ah, yes, let's completely ignore the part where superdelegates were used to give her the appearance of an insurmountable lead before a single vote was cast.
No part of that election was run fairly. Stop pretending it was.
While you're at it, maybe address the part where her campaign actively promoted Trump in his primary as a pied piper. Hillary Clinton is uniquely and singularly responsible for Trump becoming president.
Ignore her own statements, and history.
You look like you don't remember anything, or you're not honest.
“We need to be elevating the Pied Piper candidates so that they are leaders of the pack and tell the press to take them seriously,” the memo said.

Odd response given your other statements throughout this thread.
I’m also not the biggest Hillary fan, but she was uniquely positioned to be undeniably the most highly-qualified candidate for US President in history, having had experience as a US senator, First Lady, and Secretary of State…
So it’s not like she was a bad candidate (although I too would have preferred Bernie).
And hot take: what the DNC did to David Hogg is more overt that what they did to Bernie. I’m fucking done with this stupid party. Consider me radicalized.
The true radicalization is when you realize that being "highly-qualified" for the presidency should be disqualifying as it means you're so well entrenched in the particular brand of pre-Trump American fascism.
Eh. Trump is very poorly qualified. Between the two main candidates in 2016, the choice was obvious. Policy aside, I still value competence as well.
Yes, I do want to see the democratic party shift left, work to repeal citizens united, all that. But I also think that actually being good at your job is important as well. If we elect a firebrand who’s radical, but who doesn’t know the constitution or how government works, then we risk just becoming Left MAGA (like MAGA but with guillotines). Which, ok, that would be an improvement over where we are now, but still.
Trump is absolutely poorly qualified, and terrible beyond that. I think fundamentally I believe more in politics and values than competence in navigating the systems of a white supremacist country.
With regards to a 'left maga' you say but still, but still what? If someone broke norms, rules, even laws in service of dismantling the prison industrial complex, jailed politicians in service of making right the genocide in Gaza, or instituted a state of emergency over climate change to align with the scientific consensus, would you argue that the norms of our country are more important?
So it’s not like she was a bad candidate
She lost to trump. The only reason she's not the single worst candidate in US history is because Harris lost to him by a larger margin after everyone already knew what he was about.
Her behavior along with DNC gooners tanked Bernie's chances... 9 years later here we be🤡
Politics is politics but they botch the job and DNC has been useless since. Actions have consequences.
Could have avoided this if they didn’t snatch Biden from his grave to do the same damn thing in 2020.
DNC are controlled opposition, we’ll never escape fascism by supporting Democrats.
At least he delivered the first time tbh
The 2024 debuckle, second strike... Fool me once...
And we're expressing our opinions.
And your opinion shows you infantilize yourself from responsibility as an adult who votes. Own who you voted for. That’s on you. Your opinion is shit.
Hey, just expressing my opinion. Just like anyone else.
You comment all over this thread with transparently easy to prove wrong opinions. You don't even know what happened to Libya or who was at fault, and have no conception of even recent history.
My guess is you're under 25, and know nothing about history before you became politically aware.
Opinions not tempered by facts are fantasy.
Other terms for your responses here.
Prejudice, Uninformed Opinion(s), Bias, False Assertion(s), Armchair Critic, and Misinformation.
Welcome to public forums.
Not when it involves the person ruining this country that she put in charge. She can fuck right off.
She didn’t put him in charge. The voters did. Own your shitty decision.
What decision? I worked against Trump entering office every step of the path. Hillary Clinton demonstrably did not. She propped him up during the 2016 primaries because she thought she would have an easier time beating him.
You're the second account to tell me to take responsibility for Trump with no justification. Something smells.
Clinton beat the only candidate she cared about beating in 2016.
Facts are evading you here too?
She played a part. You're being dishonest.
Wrong and dumb
I'm sorry, fucking what? I voted for Bernie in 2016 primary, Hillary in 2016 general, Bernie in 2020 primary, Biden in 2020 general, uncommitted in 2024 primary, and Harris in 2024 general. I donate to progressive campaigns across the country every election.
You're a sycophant defending the Democratic Party's extremely authoritarian practices in primaries and blaming others for the sins the party and its elites.
It’s funny that these assholes ask those of us with no power to take responsibility while letting those people with power off the hook
Your brain is fucking mush
As is yours.
You had 12 entire hours to respond to the salient point.
David Malki is such a fucking moron he wrote a comic about sealioning where the sealion is completely justified in pressing the issue.
what are you fucking 5? You sure you should be allowed to vote?
You displayed a moment of clarity 2 hours before this comment.
And now, we're back to insulting folks, when you started out cocky and wrong.
You seem to have an anger and cognitive issue.
She didn't fumble anything. They wouldn't allow Bernie to run is all it came down to and Hillary is one of the most corrupt out there. Perfect for office
The Clinton campaign in 2008 boosted the birther conspiracy shit that trump rode to power.
Her 2016 campaign boosted the man himself because she thought he would be easier to beat than Jeb Bush.
only a woman could receive the most votes and nearly a decade later have a 14 year old boy on lemmy be all "yo dawg she totally fumbled that shit she needs to hide in shame"
She didn’t give you this asshole. You voted for him. That’s how voting works.
For the record, I did vote for her in the actual election, but that is an extremely oversimplified analysis of how Trump got elected.
Yeah, more people in the right states voted for him. But her and the DNC fucking with the primaries, offering zero conciliation to progressives and arrogantly assuming Trump didn't stand a chance play a huge factor. For the vaunted "most qualified candidate ever" this was her race to lose, and blaming it on sexism is just a thought terminating cliche at this point.
Americans would literally blame anyone but themselves for their stupid ass mistakes.
That's american exceptionalism. Everyone except me.
